This film is of cours a classic, incredibly sexy and plenty of nudity if thats why you're buying this film. Not the gretest story line in the wolrd but im sure its the erotica people watch it for and its full of that so you wont go far wrong buying this film. All the origional emmanuelle movies are extremely sexy, raunchy, and some of the scenes are very cheeky. I'm suprised these were acceptable when they were released. some very good scenes, very naughty.

Basing the film on the banned 1957 novel by Emmanuelle Arsan, Just Jaeckin made Emmanuelle, a story about a woman who is part innocent, part temptress, all sensuous! When the film was originally released, many womens lib groups and film censors tried to ban it, which in the end fuelled it's success at the french box offices. Emmanuelle has just moved to Thailand with her husband, but when she becomes increasingly bored with the slothful lifestyle of the men and women around her, she decides to taste the erotic joys of the East. Alongside the sharp Marie Anne, the lustful Ariane de Saynes and the learned Mario, Emmanuelle throws away the pleasures of love and slips into a world of unbound eroticism.
When i first seen the film i did not particularly like it, but with a couple more viewings it began to grow on me. for all the lovers of the book, like myself, i am afraid you may be dissappointed with the characters, as they appear somewhat different as they did in the book. one thing which annoyed me was that sylvia Kristel had a short hairstyle, in the book Emmanuelle was described as having a long flowing black mane. but if you can look past these faults, there is a film underneath which is actually rather enjoyable in its own right. I recommend watching this film and i strongly recommend the sequel emmanuelle 2.

I am reasonably fit, i work out 5 times a week and after enjoying my first dance-based workout video ('hotpants workout') i decided to buy this 1 too. I found it very disappointing, mainly because the 'instructor' doesn't actually provide any instructions, he just does the moves as if we're miraculously supposed to know them. If you're a trained dancer you would easily pick up the routines, if you're not you'll be so lost trying to work out the steps that you won't actually feel like you've worked out at all. I only lasted through half the video because of the lack of instruction, and went and did tae bo instead. Not impressed by this at all.

I actually purchased the DVD of this film, but the video is the same minus the scene selections. The cover stated promises that were never met. Linsey is as gorgeous as ever; this is basically just an hours worth of interview footage around Linsey's home as she strips her clothes, takes baths and introduces us to her bedroom. It's okay, but it's not brilliant. The interviews are interwoven with footage of Linsey in her other Liquid Gold videos (the label which produced this and numerous other Linsey Dawn titles.) I gave this film 4 stars because the interviews with her are of great value to her fans. The soft footage of Linsey slowly undressing and teasing are also of very great value. It's not what many of Linsey's fans are after in the way of sexual content but it's a film full of knowledge regarding our English glamour star.
